Leadership Training Institute (LTI)
September 19-21, 2008
St Louis, Missouri
The purpose of this weekend is to provide leadership training for chapter and regional leaders. We will discuss who to go to for resources, how to plan successful programs, the finer points of working in groups, and many other essential topics for success in not only USY, but any organization. LTI will also give USYers a chance to get to know their counterparts in other chapters as well as their overseeing officers at the regional level. Please note that this convention is only open to Regional Executive Board, Regional General Board and Chapter Executive Board officers.
Fall Kinnus
November 27-30, 2008
Denver, Colorado
Our largest annual convention where over 400 USYers and staff will get together to celebrate Thanksgiving and Shabbat, USY-style. There will be social action projects, opportunities for study and discussion, and incredible evening programs filled with song and ruach.
International Convention
December 21-25, 2008
Convention in Washington, D.C.
This international convention brings people from all over the United States, as well as some Canadian Dwellers together to share the love of USY. IC, as it is more commonly known, is one of the few places you will see more than a thousand USYers congregated in one room, intently doing everything from Social Action programs to fun activities or great discussions.
Winter Shabbaton
January 30-February 1, 2009
Kansas City, Kansas
This convention is a chance for Emtza to get together to enjoy a Shabbat experience together. We will have many fun, exciting and educational programs going throughout the weekend.
Spring Kallah
April 23-26, 2009
Undisclosed Location
This is where the magic happens, where we will elect the future regional leaders of Emtza Region. In addition to elections, we will also participate in social action and Tikun Olam programs, study sessions, and a variety of evening programs.
